Meet Dr. Asencio

Hello, and thank you for taking this important step toward growth and healing!
My name is Dr. Nicole Asencio, and I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist dedicated to helping individuals and couples build stronger, more fulfilling connections. Originally from Queens, NY, I earned my Master’s degree in Marriage & Family Therapy from Syracuse University and my Doctoral degree in Couple and Family Therapy from Alliant International University.
With over 15 years of experience, I have had the privilege of working with individuals, couples, families, and children across both nonprofit and private mental health sectors. My expertise includes attachment issues, relationship challenges, depression, anxiety, and trauma, with a deep commitment to creating a safe, supportive space for healing.
I provide telehealth therapy to clients in California, New York, and Florida, ensuring accessible, high-quality care. Grounded in a social justice lens, I am committed to serving lower-income and BIPOC communities by dedicating a portion of my time to making therapy more equitable and inclusive.
✨ This practice is a safe and affirming space for all, especially the LGBTQIA+ community. I strive to provide a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where everyone can feel seen, heard, and supported in their journey.
When I’m not working, you can find me exploring nature with my family, embracing movement and mindfulness through walks, runs, or simply appreciating the beauty around us.
If you’re interested in working together, I’d love to hear from you. Let’s connect and start your journey toward healing.
